FFKM
FFKM has the highest properties of any rubber. They are resistant to almost all types of chemicals, and some grades can withstand temperatures as high as 300°C. This makes them the conductor of choice for demanding sealing applications. A variety of market-specific grades have been specially developed to meet the most demanding requirements in the semi, oil & gas and chemical industries.
Product Information
Tecnoflon® PFR FFKM, which includes grades specifically designed for the chemical, oil and gas industry (PFR 94 and PFR 06HC), has the highest chemical resistance of all rubbers; in particular, it outperforms FKM in direct contact with polar liquids (e.g., ketones, esters, ethers, and aldehydes) as well as alkalis (bases, amines).
In addition, thanks to Solvay's proprietary cross-linking technology, the PFR 95 and PFR 95HT grades of Tecnoflon® FFKM have superior heat resistance to general-purpose FFKMs, while also retaining sealing properties at high temperatures and outperforming other heat-resistant cross-linking technologies in high-temperature steam.
